The Institute’s office is located in the Ökohaus, right next to Westbahnhof in Frankfurt’s Bockenheim neighbourhood.

Finding your way around the Ökohaus
A small stream flows through the glass-roofed interior of the building. Walk upstream to its source. On the right, you will find a glass door leading to a stairwell with a lift. The IFSI office is on the fourth floor.

By public transport
From Frankfurt Central Station to Westbahnhof, take the following S-Bahn lines (three stops):
S3 in the direction of Bad Soden
S4 in the direction of Kronberg
S5 in the direction of Friedrichsdorf or Bad Homburg
S6 in the direction of Groß-Karben or Friedberg
Get off at „Westbahnhof“. Leave the station and turn left onto Kasseler Straße. You will approach the Ökohaus directly.

From Frankfurt International Airport:
There are two different train stations at Frankfurt Airport: the Regionalbahnhof (Regional Station, located in Terminal 1) and the ICE-Bahnhof (Long Distance Station, located outside of Terminal 1). Go to the Regionalbahnhof and take S-Bahn lines S8 or S9 in direction of Offenbach or Hanau and get off after 3 stops at Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway Station). Then follow the directions explained above.

By car:
Please use an online route planner to determine the most convenient route for you. For example, you can find us directly via Google Maps. The institute is located in Frankfurt’s Bockenheim district, which is connected to two motorways: the A66 (exit Miquelallee) to the north and the A648 (exit Opel-Rondell) to the south. Both of these connect to the A5 federal motorway to the west of Bockenheim. For more information, see the city map of Frankfurt. Parking in the Ökohaus car park is subject to a fee. There are also parking spaces for people with disabilities.
