In our scientific support of projects, we take an approach that focuses on providing technical assistance for the project work. In doing so, we verify whether the objectives have been achieved. In this way, IFSI facilitates improvements in outcomes based on benefit and quality assurance and helps inform decisions regarding any necessary adjustments to the project design.

As part of this process support, IFSI also applies formative evaluation methods and assists project partners in conducting self-evaluations. In addition, IFSI evaluates the results of completed projects and conducts impact analyses.

To this end, quantitative and qualitative indicators for evaluating the results are defined – whenever possible, in collaboration with the stakeholders involved. The assessment methods range from the analysis of data generated during the process to interviews with experts and representatives of target groups, and the conduct of representative surveys.
