Since 1991, the Institute for Social Infrastructure has been committed to independent research and consultancy, focusing clearly on participation and social cohesion. Over the past 35 years, we have continually adapted to the demands of the times, never losing sight of our core mission. Alongside updating our logo and website, in June 2026 we also decided to change our name. ISIS Institute for Social Infrastructure will therefore become IFSI Institut für soziale Infrastruktur gGmbH.

IFSI is a non-profit institute specialising in applied social research, social planning and policy consulting, based in Frankfurt am Main. We are dedicated to practice-oriented social science analysis and consultancy, social structure development, and knowledge transfer.

To this end, we provide conceptual guidance and support to public and private institutions, developing projects that are both feasible and sustainable. Our approach is based on the active involvement of all stakeholders because innovations and structural changes can only be accepted and established on a sustainable basis in this way.

We are a team of qualified researchers with experience in various fields and a wide range of expertise. Thanks to our many years of experience as a coordinating and participating research institution in international and national projects, we are an active partner in an extensive and stable network within Germany and throughout the European Union. This network benefits not only us, but also our clients, partners and target groups.
